Aspect tier list

These ranks compare complete aspect plans at their stated investment. A lower general rank can still be the correct choice for a preferred weapon or route.

What do you want from the run?

Safest ranks the options that give a player the most room to recover from positioning, timing, and resource mistakes. The order combines each published tier judgment with how often the option is favored by the safer authored aspect plans. Within each tier, reading order runs from best to weakest.

S

Defining choice for this ranking goal4 ranked choices
  1. Aspect of Melinoë · Black Coat

Use mobility to stay beside the boss and avoid holding Attack longer than the current opening.

    Less room for specialized combinations

    S
  2. Aspect of Melinoë · Witch's Staff

Keep enough distance to preserve reaction time and use Omega Special during predictable attacks.

Normal Special can be slow without upgrades

    S
  3. Aspect of Pan · Sister Blades

Refresh Cast after movement phases before charging the next volley.

Needs Cast placement before its best volley

    S
  4. Aspect of Circe · Witch's Staff

Keep Cast uptime for control and accept that the familiar contribution may be less concentrated on a mobile boss.

Depends on familiar positioning and upgrade state

A

Strong choice with a clear tradeoff11 ranked choices
  1. Aspect of Melinoë · Umbral Flames

Favor sustained uptime because the critical bonus pays over many safe hits.

Random critical timing is less controllable than a fixed combo

    A
  2. Aspect of Melinoë · Argent Skull

Plan retrieval across the edge of the arena instead of through the boss.

Damage falls when Shells are often left in unsafe positions

    A
  3. Aspect of Selene · Black Coat

Keep spending Magick through safe actions so the built-in Hex does not stall during long phases.

Needs regular Magick spending to cycle the Hex

    A
  4. Aspect of Supay · Umbral Flames

Circle at a range that preserves projectile uptime without crossing the boss's center line.

Long firing periods can drain Magick or attention

    A
  5. Aspect of Melinoë · Moonstone Axe

Use short strings and reserve the slow final swing for clear recovery windows.

Less room for specialized combinations than combo-focused aspects

    A
  6. Aspect of Moros · Umbral Flames

Lay flames during movement and detonate only when the boss returns to their path.

Firing Special too early produces weak coverage

    A
  7. Aspect of Nyx · Black Coat

Activate the mark during boss movement and spend it only after the target commits.

Damage falls when the mark is not prepared

    A
  8. Aspect of Momus · Witch's Staff

Place repeats where the boss will remain through the next animation, not where it is currently moving from.

    Poor placement wastes repeated strikes

    A
  9. Aspect of Nergal · Moonstone Axe

On a lone boss, activate Frenzy from safe openings rather than assuming normal encounter hit density.

Slower to start against isolated targets

    A
  10. Aspect of Persephone · Argent Skull

Choose a route that passes beside the boss and ends safely rather than steering through repeated contact.

Omega steering can carry the player into hazards

    A
  11. Aspect of Artemis · Sister Blades

Use the block only against attacks whose timing is already understood.

    Timing-sensitive

Tier

B

Useful when its conditions match6 ranked choices
  1. Aspect of Eos · Umbral Flames

Keep the projectile crossing the boss's current attack lane instead of chasing every movement.

Poor routing leaves the projectile away from targets

    B
  2. Aspect of Charon · Moonstone Axe

Wait for a stable boss window before committing the Omega Special so the detonation is not lost to movement.

    Needs Magick and setup time

    B
  3. Aspect of Melinoë · Sister Blades

Pom Wave Strike toward level 4 and take only the backstab strings allowed by committed boss animations.

Loses value against targets that turn quickly

    B
  4. Aspect of Anubis · Witch's Staff

Use the normal Staff plan when a phase offers no susceptible foe to start the summon loop.

Needs a kill before its signature value begins

    B
  5. Aspect of Hel · Argent Skull

Enter Overheat immediately before a long boss opening so the state is not spent on movement.

Cast and all Omega moves are disabled during Overheat

    B
  6. Aspect of Shiva · Black Coat

Prepare the Special pattern before the boss opening instead of trying to assemble it during incoming pressure.

    Setup is easy to interrupt

C

Specialized or demanding3 ranked choices
  1. Aspect of Thanatos · Moonstone Axe

Prioritize clean single hits over finishing a risky combo because preserving the aspect buff is the main damage multiplier.

    Taking damage interrupts its momentum

    C
  2. Aspect of Medea · Argent Skull

Use the combo only after a boss commits to an animation that cannot intercept the Special exit.

    Requires entering melee range

    C
  3. Aspect of the Morrigan · Sister Blades

Build the ritual only during predictable windows and accept a normal attack cycle when the window closes.
